Crash Near Hollywood Boulevard, south of Charleston Boulevard

According to an article in the R-J, "a 19-year-old man was killed and a 17-year-old was critically injured in a two-vehicle crash late Monday in the eastern Las Vegas Valley." Police say it happened at around 11:25pm on Hollywood Boulevard south of Charleston Boulevard.

Police say a 2000 Dodge Neon lost control and crossed into the northbound lanes, hitting a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe. Police say they are still investigating the cause of the crash.

The article also says "the passenger in the Neon, identified only as a 19-year-old Las Vegas man, was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he died from his injuries. The driver of the Neon, a 17-year-old Las Vegas boy, was taken to University Medical Center's trauma unit with critical injuries, police said. The driver of the Santa Fe, a 17-year-old Las Vegas boy, and a 17-year-old female passenger suffered minor injuries, and were treated and released from UMC, police said."

Two-car crash kills man, 19, critically injures teen

A 19-year-old man was killed and a 17-year-old was critically injured in a two-vehicle crash late Monday in the eastern Las Vegas Valley.

Metro Police responded at 11:25 p.m. to the crash on Hollywood Boulevard south of Charleston Boulevard. Investigators said a 2000 Dodge Neon was southbound on Hollywood when the driver lost control of the vehicle for an unknown reason.
